Styria is a state in Austria, also called “the Green Heart of Austria” in virtue of its countryside rich in forests. But the second biggest state of Austria is also incredibly rich in culinary delights. One of them is characterised by a unique dark green color, a nutty fragrance and an intense flavour. Over the past decade, pumpkin seed oil has become a culinary showpiece in the international specialty cuisine.

Being such a star on the horizon, it deserved a design that lived up to its reputation. Oil mill Pötscher reached out and had a clear vision of what their new pumpkin seed oil packaging needed to be — compelling and ready to stand out in a mass of sameness. 

The key visual element of the precious oil is without doubt its unique dark green color. That combined with a simple and plain, informative typography on a uniquely designed bottle communicates the essentials of the product. A packaging design different from any competitor on the market.
